I definitely have no idea what kind of dress I want.  I’ve seen a bunch online that I like, but I have no idea what it’ll look like ON me, so….no idea.  right now, i only know what i don’t want.

If you are getting married May 2012, whilst I don’t want to stress you out more, yes, you should start looking for dresses asap. I don’t even know if you’d be able to order a custom one in? Usually, it takes a while, but you might be able to pay more? Also, alterations may be an issue…

If you are getting married next month you need to get a dress ASAP! The dress has toat least be hemmed and then you have to get matching veil and accessories if you don’t already have them!

It looks like she’s getting married in 13 months…

I advise that you wait. I’d start looking in about a month or so, just go to one or two shops and see what kind of silhouette you prefer, and materials.

Don’t stress! It can be fun!!!!

Your wedding date is May of 2013.  You will not need to order your dress any farther out than ten months, and I am being very generous with that estimate.  You certainly can being looking at any time, but you won’t need to order something until, at the earliest, July. Many gowns only require a six month lead time.

I agree with Brielle that anything between 10-8 months would be a good timeline to order. On the wedding shows they sometimes say a dress takes 8 months to come in, or 6 months, or 4 months… You don’t need to be stressing that you haven’t gotten the dress yet. Your friends who already got theirs were probably just so excited to go out and purchase the dress first thing.
