I love it. I am a plus sized bride. and I have issues with my body. I see all of these gorgeous ladies with their slender bodies in tight fitting dresses and i want to look like that. So when I tried on dresses i didn’t feel like i was as beautiful as them. But then i found the dress that made me feel that way.. And this dress is very flattering on you. Beautiful!

You look curvy and beautiful! And don’t worry if it doesn’t seem to photograph well, professional photos make a huge difference! They will look so much better than quick smartphone snaps in a salon with terrible lighting, I promise!

don’t starve yourself for the next month please. Don’t you have enough to worry about without being hungry and cranky all the time?Wink

I think it’s a great dress, and you definitely do NOT look like a blob. What sort of strapless do you have on? Getting one that pushes up the boobs further will enlongate the waist, and adding some padding in that area iif you need it–it’s hard to tell from the pic–might help make you look curvier, if that’s what you want.

But if that’s not it (and it’s admittedly hard to tell from the pics) don’t fret about it. Cut carbs the week of your wedding, and that will take care of the zipper gapping. But even if you don’t lose another pound, I still think the dress is very flattering. You CAN do things to change the way it looks, but I certainly don’t think you NEED to.

You look beautiful! Your dress definitely gives you a curvy shape in all the right places 🙂 I love all the detail on the top of your dress and on your veil. You’ve picked a gorgeous dress.

A professional photographer is going to know how to get you to pose in a way that just makes you look even more beautiful, so please don’t worry.

@Phabie23: I think it looks amazing on you. The only thing I would suggest is getting some cups sewn in to the dress to give a bit of oomph at the top.

Don’t worry. I think this dress gives you a shape and you’re just being too hard on yourself. I *especially* think this dress makes your rear end look great! You’re going to look beautiful. 🙂

Awww…. Hugs!!!!!

I wanted to cry when I read the title that you wrote. Stop calling yourself a fat blob… you are so much more than that! You are a beautiful lady who is getting ready to marry the love of your life!

Yes you are a big girl (I am too), but you are curvy in the right places. The dress you’ve chosen looks gorgeous and the diagonal lines are very figure flattering!

If you’re worried about pictures, do some test shots in advance to find your best angles. Avoid having your photos taken from a side view, which tends to make your stomach look bigger…. go for three quarter angles instead. At least, that is what I’ve heard.

Do NOT starve yourself for a month before the wedding. Eat light, healthy food — go heavy on lean protein, fruits and veggies. Drink lots of water and avoid high salt foods so that you won’t retain water. Take a vitamin pill every day. Try to do some light yoga routines or stretches. And when you get married, have a big ole’ slice of wedding cake with champagne, and enjoy every bite!

Worry about losing the weight later on. Right now, just focus on getting lots of sleep and getting ready for your wedding. Your Fiance obviously loves you even with a few extra pounds so just celebrate all of the good things that are getting ready to happen in your life! After the honeymoon, start thinking about making healthier lifestyle choices.

If it makes you feel any better, I lost 20 lbs. when I was dating Darling Husband (and still was overweight)… but then I gained every one of those 20 lbs. back the first year we were married! I’m now on Weight Watchers and trying to get a grip! Haha!

You look gorgeous, especially in that picture of the back — gorgeous waist-to-hip curve!

I agree with the PP who said that you may want to experiment with the bra you’re wearing. You look lovely as it is now, but if you want to add some va-va-voom to the top, a bra that is more padded and more push-up might help. (Not skanky, just adding more to that region.) The fact that the ruching (sooooo flattering and minimizing in the waist and hip region) continues up into the bust range make it seem as if your boobs are a little bit minimized, which MAY be what’s making you feel less shapely than you clearly are.

Again, the dress looks great, but I would see what a killer pushup does to define the bust area. I wore the Bombshell Bra from Victoria’s Secret, and it totally did the trick for me!

Don’t worry! You do NOT look like a “blob,” that’s just nuts 😉 You look like you have incredible curves and I love those buttons on the back.  Relax!!

That dress is PERFECT for you!  It totally accentuates your curves, and it looks amazing on you, from both the front and the back!  It photographs just fine as you can tell.
