favflamingo :  oh this is exciting!  These dresses look GREAT on you!  Both of them are vastly more flattering. Confirms that the strapless satin tea length dress is a dud (blunt choice of words there I know…but better a dud dress choice than husband choice!).  I love the elegance of the shoe string strap one and the flirty riuffled skirt of the second one is adorable. You are on the right track now ๐Ÿ˜€

Wow!!! Vast improvement!! I like the short ruffled one, maybe with either a very full short veil or an extremely long flowy one.

Honestly I love both your new choices. Is it possible to keep both? I would do the satin strappy one as your ceremony dress and maybe switch into the eyelet one later in the night? They both look awesome on you!! Definitely way more flattering than the first one.

The new ones look SO much better! The first one, witht he thin straps, is definitely my favorite!!

Yep, the other dresses are both so much better on you.  The broderie one is gorgeous and fun, but it looks like ‘just’ a summer dress to me…. the one with the spaghetti straps is beautiful on you and can really be dressed up or down to suit your wedding perfectly ๐Ÿ™‚

I am in a similar situation. The dress I have was a total steel price wise. It is a nice dress, I just dont think it is super flattering on me. I am plus size (size 16) and curvy and I feel the dress does not emphasize that. To top it off, when I was trying it on, my BFF’s mom blurted out that she was putting XXX down on the dress for me and I was super emotional since that was the specific dress I was wearing when she told me. I absolutely cannot get a new dress, so I am just making the best of it.

I also posted on this website and got lots of negative feedback. But in the end, I don’t have an option for a new dress. So that was that.

favflamingo :  Well I naturally have a 12 inch difference between my hips and my waist, but it is really hard to see in the photos becasue the dress just kills it. The sleeves were just scraps of lace the consultant clipped on so I could see what it looks like. I dislike that it is strapless, but I am just going with it.  I will be wearing some high waisted spanx for sure just to smooth out my stomach a bit.

I’ll be wearin my hair down in some fashion, which I think will help.

But thanks, I really appricate your comment ๐Ÿ™‚

favflamingo :  I would wear the first dress in your update, I think its really pretty. Id wear the second dress to either the rehearsal or later during the reception. They look great.

arriaza415 :

Well I wouldn’t  have  given you any negative feedback , its a grand dress and I love  the off the  shoulder sleeved version .

I do think , however,  a very narrow pearl belt might be  nicer.
