SparklyBee84:  I think it looks great! Your waist looks so tiny. Maybe you can get a reception dress that you feel is more “you”?

It’s a really pretty dress and is very flatering on you.  Can you go back and try it on again… just to see if you REALLY don’t like it, or if it’s just dress cold feet?  I definitely wondered if it was the right dress after I got home from the dress store.  But after my dress arrived and I tried it on again, I LOVED it.  So perhaps trying it on again would make you feel better / more sure about the choice.

However, I don’t think I’d want to wear a dress that I didn’t feel absolutely amazing in.  If you truly don’t like the dress and regret buying it, so you think you could sell it if the store won’t give you a refund?

I’m so sorry, you must be so disapointed.  🙁

I felt the same way after buying my dress. Like literally as soon as I got into the car. I had SERIOUS doubts. It was terrifying. When I looked at the picture and the description of the dress, I freaked out.

I spent the next couple of months asking my mother/sister/best friend about the dress. If they really liked it, etc.

When I actually picked up the dress and put it on…I fell in love with it all over again. I’m just really bad at making decisions!

Best off the rack fit I’ve seen in ages, and you’ve definitely got the posture to carry off strapless, so if you liked it i’d say keep it…..but if you don’t love the detail and feel like you got bullied into a sale, cancel it if you can and keep looking – you can always order the same dress again if you like it later 🙂

You look great, delete the photo.  I liked my dress but started having doubts. The only photos I had were with bad lighting, from strange angles, and I didn’t look the way I remembered. The photos made it worse. If you have time, wait until you have it in-hand, or see if you can try it on again. If you don’t like it, you can go from there. It sounds like you can’t to much at this point, and if you try on additional dresses you are 90% sure to find something you think you like better — possibly because your memories aren’t accurate.  Your dress is beautiful, but hte lighting isn’t the best, and it looks like you might be slouching a little.

That being said, I didn’t like my dress as much when it arrived, so I sold it and got another. Do as I say…

I think the cross cross is actually very flattering on you, it’s a great dress. Don’t look at the model photos – they rarely look the same as the dress does in real life, and they don’t show how beautiful YOU look in the dress!

I had the exact same problem! I found my dress, cried, had my moment…and then freaked out as soon as I got home. I called the bridal salon the next day and asked if they could put my order on hold (in case I wanted to put my deposit towards a different dress) and they gladly did so. I ended up going back to the salon and tried it on again, only to realize how crazy I had been for doubting my dress choice. I absolutely LOVE my gown and can’t wait until it arrives!

Relax, your dress looks beautiful on you! If you are super concerned, call the salon and try it on again. I’m sure they’ll understand as you are not the only one to get cold feet! 🙂

SparklyBee84:  I think maybe you should try on some more dresses as I came out of the dress shop feeling exactly the same as you, I then tried on more dresses a few months later, nearly gave up hope and thought I’d make do with my dress, until I finally found the one!  The dress has to be right!!

You look stunning – such a flattering fit on you.

I too was feeling a bit unsure about the dress I picked. I really don’t like it on the model (to the point where when people ask to see it I don’t want to show them the picture) and my mum and sister don’t like it but I have tried it on twice and LOVED it both times. It is so me.

Go with your gut. It’s always right.

It looks way better on you than the model! She looks like a Barbie.

i think the criss cross makes your waist small and bust well proportioned. I like it!

It’s very flattering. I love all the sparkly detail on the front – it’s a great dress.

model pics are so tough to gauge dresses on – all that Photoshop and stuff, but it does look really nice on you!

Everyone feels that way while waiting for their dress to come in- it is a huge purchase and it is hard to make since we have only a sample not in our size to try on.  If you felt like it was the one once- it is very likely you will feel that way again!  It is a gorgeous dress (reminds me of my friend’s wedding dress) and looks seriously great on you.

I almost didn’t try on my wedding dress because it didn’t look great on the hanger, and I was so nervous about it while waiting for it to come in and even during the beginning of alterations and had dress regret.  When I put it on on my wedding day, it felt just perfect, and I can’t imagine feeling more beautiful or like me in another dress.
