Today I went for my first fitting after a few months without seeing my dress. The first and second time I tried it on, I loved it. Then after I bought it, I had a few moments when I felt insecure, but still liked it. I dont know if it was just the fact that I was in a really bad mood today or what, but I didn’t feel pretty wearing it. I cant really change my dress now so I dont even know why I’m posting this, I guess I just need to say it to feel better?
The first pictures are how I’m going yo he wearing the dress for the reception and the last pictures show how I’m wearing it for the church ceremony.

FWIW I think its a lovely dress and definitely suits your frame well. 😀 The last picture is especially unique, love the top half. A lot of ladies experience dress regret, myself included.

I second guess myself constantly. The dress is lovely, nothing wrong with it at all. Once your hair and makeup is done and jewellry on, you’ll feel pretty

I love that dress. It is understatedly gorgeous!!

No need for regret!! Looks gorgeous! Your mood might have played a part. This was not your first time trying it on, or even your second time, this is also not the “last time” i.e. your wedding day. Today was just a day like any other, and maybe today it felt a little more “it’s just a dress, a garment of clothing” When it is your wedding day, you will fall in love with it all over and you will be so excited to put it on and hate the fact that you have to eventually take it off. It is an absolutely stunning gown and it looks great on you!

I love love love the back of that collar- the geisha inspired revelation of the back of the neck and top of the back- it’s beautiful.
I hope you can fall in love with your dress again. It’s elegant and striking and also has a unique and memorable element as well.

After committing to a dress, I too had major regrets. But like I you I didn’t really have the option of purchasing a second gown. So I just tried my best to like it.
But on the day of the actual wedding – I had pro hair and makeup, and amazing indian jewlery, and when I put on my dress I felt stunning!! I was so relieved. Right up until the end I thought I’d chosen a terrible dress.
I hope you come around to loving your dress. I love it!!!
I think the top is so classy — very Jacky-Kennedy-sophisticated looking!!

Of all the dress regret posts I have seen, yours has the least reason to be by far! . You look perfectly lovely , elegant, classic dress and the church overlay is inspired.
Goodness me girl, you look beautiful with your smooth hair and skin and good posture .

Wow that dress looks amazing on you!! I think we all intuitively know the right dress for us and then we over think and over analyze things. It’s a lot of pressure. It’s the biggest day of your life and these days we are bombarded with images of a gazillion dresses. Trust your initial judgment. It’s beautiful and perfect for you!

pbcgab : It’s so gorgeous and unique! You truly stand out in an endless sea of indistinguishable lace fit-and-flares. I love the shape of the top, your waist looks TINY, and it’s so dramatic – but at the same time, it’s definitely you wearing the dress, not the dress wearing you! Not everyone would be able to pull that off, but you look like a model. 🙂 Don’t have any regrets! Your wedding is going to be beautiful.
