The Saks dress is much more beautiful and unique than the AA one, imo. I love the dress you have, and it looks great on you!

Personally I like the alfred angelo dress better.

The sak’s dress is very cool, but it does look stiff.

Can you get the alfred angelo in time for your wedding?

Can you return the sak’s dress?

While the Saks dress is definitely the more unique of the two, I like the movement and beading of the AA dress.

I second KatNYC2011, can you return (or sell) the Saks dress to help out budget wise?

    Okay so crazy thought:

The Saks dress is beautiful – I’d almost like it more as a short dress.  Could you have 2 dresses – the Saks one for the reception perhaps?

the alfred angelo dress is gorgeous! I like the Saks dress but it definitely needs moving room at the bottom.

IMO the Saks dress is just too straight up and down and looks stiff, like it has no movement. I’m sure it probably feels fine on, but it looks uncomfortable.

If you can manage the Alfred Angelo, I’d do it.

@pengoala: I agree, the Saks dress would be amazing as a short dress.  I prefer the AA for the movement, as others have said

You could TOTALLY have the Saks one hemmed short and change into it at your reception or maybe as your going away outfit! Then you get to wear both.

Go for the one you want, since you can afford it. Don’t feel crazy; the dress is important!

I agree with you that the Saks dress lacks movement, and it doesn’t look very bridal to me. Looks like something you could wear in another colour on a dressed up night out. I say just go for it. It’s your one day to be bride! You don’t want to regret how you looked, especially if you have the chance to do something about it.

Oh you poor thing! You’ve been jerked around a lot with your dress(es)!

I say if you can find a deal on the Alfred Angelo, go for it, right now they are offering $100 off any Bridal Gown, I’d be happy to send you the email if its needed!

Best of Luck to you and I hope the Alfred Angelo dress is the one! I to was hesitant about using Alfred Angelo, but they are the only ones that have a Bridesmdaid Dress I love, so I am watching for a sale for them!

@pengoala: I don’t think that’s a crazy thought at all!  The Saks dress would be awesome shorter and could be a reception or going away/grand exit dress (or used for rehersal/RD, showers, etc if the OP doesn’t want to change out of the AA dress during the wedding).

    Thoughts on that idea, OP?

I agree! Get the AA dress.  It’s beautiful.  And since you said you haven’t hemmed the Saks dress, they may take it back; they’re great about that stuff and just tell them the truth.  I’m not a big fan of changing out of the wedding dress into a reception dress — heck, I want to wear it again and again, you know! But if you have to keep the Saks dress, I would shorten it and even wear it if you’re going someplace warm on your honeymoon.. no kidding!
