Just let it happen.  I’ve learned to never mess with your body…she has a mind of her own.

call her again. What kind of pills are you on? You could do something like stay off an extra week or go for it and see if you can extend. If you do start getting breakthrough bleeding, you may be able to double up on pills for a couple days. But call and and find out, no need to deal with that at your wedding!

I tried to manipulate mine for my birthday last year, because Fiance and I had an amazing kid-free weekend planned.  Somehow the hormonal shift from the BC (that I’ve taken on and off since I was 18) caused possibly permanent vision damage.  (I still lose vision for a couple of hours in the afternoon).  AND I still had breakthrough on that weekend.

Sorry. 🙁

oh! the other thing you could do is go off your pills early…like in 2-3 weeks. and then like the week of your wedding start up again. I think you have options!

@MrsDrRose612:  Heres the good news: you wont be bleeding as much on your wedding night– as opposed to the very first day you actually get it? Dont worry to much about it though, if it happens it happens! LOL it reminds me of the time where I Was at my girls wedding and she just comes up to m and whispers ” I got my period today ” and mind you, she was a virgin waiting for this night for a very long time.. both her and her husband. They just had to deal with it, wait it off for just a few days!

I would skip it again- breakthrough bleeding is more tolerable than a period.

I’m confused – are you taking pills continually, skipping the placebo week, or not?

Can you just skip the placebo week so you don’t get your period?

Your body does have a mind of its own. I’ve never been successful at trying to manipulate the date 🙁 Just seems to always make it worse!

are your pills the same each day? or do they vary? i used to take pills that were the same, then i could just take a few extra 25 instead of 21 for example) amd move my period around.
