I think its ok, you arent copying her work and selling it, you are using it to send out to your friends and family.  I would suggest if you do post your STD’s on your wedding blog, to credit the design to the Etsy seller.  Very cute STD by the way!

There’s nothing wrong with posting it.  Honestly I’ve taken ideas/inspiration from other bees and ETSY especially and added my own twist to it!  There’s nothing wrong with being inspired, think of it as a compliment to her!  It’s nice of you to post her link!

Show yours off!!

Nothing wrong with using inspiration from other crafters! As said above, I only think it would be unethical if you were selling them.

I think you’re fine. The places we get most of our ideas today are stealing it from others. You shouldn’t feel bad, if you are creative enough to do it yourself I totally would!!

I think it is completely fair to be inspired by others designs and then re-create them yourself!

But like @naangel55 said… post her site on your blog!

Plus posting it here and maybe Facebook will get her some traffic on her site which should make you feel better 🙂

you never proclaimed it was your design, so i think it’s fine to be inspired.  plus, imo it’s a cute design that is not extraordinarily ‘different’ per se, as in, i think a lot of designs are kinda similar.

I totally saw a bracelet I liked on ETSY that was about $70, so I bought all the materials myself, same pearl beads and everything. I made almost an exact replica for maybe $20!

I think that there is an expectation that people will see ideas places and copy them. Now… if you were making these, set up your own shop, and tried to sell them… that I think would kind of be wrong. But seeing something you love and figuring out a way to DIY them for your own wedding? that is definitely acceptable.
