My Maid/Matron of Honor is a make up artist so she will be doing mine, she said an hour for me and half an hour for my mom!

I did my own makeup, it took me around 45 minutes false eyelashes and all. I hope that helps!

I’m not positive, but I’ll give you my timeline.

Our ceremony started at 2 pm but we left my house at 10:45 am to get to the venue at 11:30 am (because we were doing first look pictures and a lot of family/wedding party before the ceremony.)

We started hair & makeup at 8:00 am. We were done on time. I would guess that my makeup took 30-40 minutes? My BMs makeup (there were 3) took maybe 20 mins each and my mom was about 30 also.

The hair was for me, my 3 BMs, my sister (flower girl), my mom to get a blowout and my brother to get a blowout (he has long hair he’s growing out to donate.) All within the 3 hours.

Granted it was all going on consecutively, like one person was getting hair while another was getting makeup done. Hope that is at least semi-helpful. It does depend on how complicated everything is for hair and makeup.

omg. This is SO important, and I wish I knew! I gave my MU artist a time line that gave a half hour for each of my girls and a little longer for me and she said it was perfect. The day of…it took closer to an hour each, plus set up time. She moved so slowly. I was a stressed MESS and two of my BMs aren’t in our getting ready pics because they were still back at the hotel getting their makeup done…plus she didnt have time to put my false lashes on, which was stinky.

So what i’m trying to say is…give yourself WAY more time than you think you need!

@linz09:  How many hair people do you have? I just had one but she was AMAZING (she’s a friend) and seriously moves sooo quickly. It helped that she just got married a year or so ago so she totally understood the timeline. One thing that also helped was that all the girls did their primer and foundation themselves after watching the makeup artist do mine.

I get my makeup professionally done a lot.. it usually takes MAX a half hour. But it depends on your artist and if you like everything the first time.

@linz09:  here’s the thing, my MU artist was sorta new…and super chatty. I should’ve known when my trial lasted 2 hours…
