Ok… so some bees here are actual MUAs.  They wil do a better job than I.  But here’s what I see.

    PROs:

    – good match re: color

    – skin looks good

    – brows are filled in well

    – your eyeshadow color choice looks good on you

    – your lip color choice looks good on you

Things that I would do, if I were you:

    – More blush (you’re a little washed out)

    – Contouring.  (very light contouring, since it’s bridal, but adding a little bit of dimension back to your nose and cheeks–foundation really eliminates definition, IMO)

    – Eyeshadow shouldn’t stop at the crease.. blend it out more.  There are a bajillion tutorials out there that will show you how, better than I could ever describe. 🙂 With the right combination of blending, crease color, and highlight color you can really make your eyes pop.

    – Curl your lashes so that they are a bit more perky and a bit more spread out.

    – Line your lips to make them fuller.. on the top I’d line just outside the natural lip border.  In order to avoid an obvious line, you can actually fill in the entire lip iwth the liner before applying lipstick on top.  That’ll also give it some serious lasting power.

    Finally:

    – Mascaras I love: I actually bought Sephora’s “Lash Stash” kit which is awesome since I get to try lots of different mascaras and they last the perfect amount of time. Unfortunately I am only 5 mascaras “in” (each lasts about 2 months). Anyway my two faves so far have been YSL’s volume effet faux cils and Smashbox’s full exposure mascara.

I think you look lovely, i would do something to your lips to make them appear a little plumper

Boxom mascara is my savior!  I’m obsessed with it

FutureMrsPlasters:  I think it looks beautiful for a sunset beach wedding. I’d probaby do a darker lip color, but the one you’re wearing is very pretty too. The eyes look perfect in the full-face photo, but in the close-up it does look like it should be blended more. Other than that, I think it looks great. If any photographer bees or MUA bees come along though, I’d give more weight to their opinions. 🙂

I think you look good. I love Benefit’s “They’re Real!” mascara. I have short lashes and mine look great with that product. I get it at Sephora for around $24 I think.

amanda1988:  I got the Lash Stash for Christmas, and discovered that my fave is Urban Decay’s Perversion. I actively avoid stuff that seems gimicky or just going for shock value, which I see that whole brand as, so I’ve never bought it before. I could not believe that one ended up being the best. I was sure it would be the Josie Maran Black Oil one, but it was clumpy and dry. Not sure if my sample was just old or if that’s how it really is, but I was disappointed. The other’s I’ve tried so far were just meh. So far I’m either sticking with Covergirl or switching to Urban Decay.

I have short lashes that need lots of volume and lengthening and *swear* by Two Faced Better Than Sex. It’s amazing. I get it from Sephora, but I think it’s available in some department stores as well.

I use Too Faced on my top lashes, and I believe a Marc Jacobs lengthening mascara on bottom lashes. Then add a coat of the lengthening mascara to the top lashes (although this isn’t even required).

It looks like yours could use a bit of volume and also help with curling/holding a curl. If you can get your hands on a sample, I would totally try Too Faced.

FutureMrsPlasters:  I voted for the last one, though it doesn’t exactly represent why I voted for it. I actually really love the colors you chose and I think it looks beautiful, I feel like the application might be a little light for wedding day make up. I’m not a huge fan of heavy make up for regular occasions, but I do think a little more make up on a bride’s wedding day goes a long way and looks nice in photos. You are beautiful and I hope you don’t feel like I am attacking you in any way. I would also maybe consider lashes for your big day. I also have long lashes, but lashes gave me a more dramatic look and I think made my eyes appear bigger. Good luck bee!
