mtlgirl :  eh. I’d do it if you have a reason to get your make-up done, like your enagement shoot or something.  Unless she’s offering to do it for free, of course.

mtlgirl :  Does she have a portfolio? I don’t think most people have 2 trials, but I guess what she’s saying makes sense if you have no other way to evaluate her work.

Hmmm…the purpose of a trial is to do a practice run after you’ve already agreed to do business so a trial before a trial seems strange to me.

FWIW…I did have two trials but one was for my engagement shoot and it was a totally different look than my wedding look.  And it was after I had already booked my MUA..

Not everyone has two trials, however I was in a situation where I had my trial 3 weeks before the wedding like usual, and it was AWFUL. Like, no way was I using their services for the wedding awful. So then I was in a major panic and had to get another trial from someone else with just 3 weeks to go… so at least this way that won’t happen to you!
