This was a quick DIY trial – what do you think?? My wedding colours are dusky peach, dusky pink, ivory, white, black and charcoal. For eye shadow ive used shimmery peach, plum and a brighter purple and blended it to soften it, i have a peach/pink blush and a sheer peachy pink lipstick. I used bare minerals for my foundation and concealer – just started using it. Honest opinions please 🙂 I dont know what to think – i dont hate it but i dont love it either – i was going for a soft femenine look to match my colour scheme but not sure if it does anything for me. And I forgot to do my eyebrows in these pics for some reason lol :/
Oh also i have put on some false corner lashes here (very badly lol) but for the wedding i will be having false lashes put on professionally – mine are soooo short and horrible! 🙂 I’d love to have all my make up done professionally but i cannot afford it
opinions and suggestions welcome x

I think it looks good I’m not sure about the purple though?
Hmm could you go to a mall and they do it at the make up counter just as for something natural and youget what you spend on the makeup in products. I thnk its is like $80 to get your make up done professionally.

I think it looks great for DIY! I would add a little more purple to the top outer corner, and maybe some colour for your cheeks 🙂

I agree with adding a little purple up top. Right now it makes your eyes look a little dark, almost bruised. I think adding the purple on top would balance it out. I love the colors though, and you are gorgeous!

Gorgeous! I would say to add some color up top. In my opinion I think it’s a little TOO light.

You look really pretty, you totally don’t need a pro! Your foundation is perfect for you, not too heavy, and I actually think the lashes look great too. I would suggest more use of the plum up top. And I do like the lippy, but I’m wondering if maybe a less pinky, slightly lighter shade might work better with this look.

Possibly go with a slightly darker colour on the eyelids, and in my opinion, the lipstick looks a little too much on the pink side for the colour of your eyeshadow. It could possibly just be the picture. Overall, you’re doing a fantastic job. Well done.

Thanks bees you’re all so kind! I used purple as I read it is the best for bringing out brown eyes – do bees agree??
When i put it on it looked like i had lots of blush on but the photo washes it out. Im not used to wearing blush, if i ever wear eye make up (which is only when I am going somewhere special) i wear really dark smokey eyes and the rest of my face keep neutral! I feel weird wearing blush and lipstick lol 🙂 should I add more for the photos sake or will it look too weird on the day? I am getting married at lunch time so I dont want to over do it!
I agree that its quite light on the eyes i will add more purple in the crease and outer corner. I did put plum in the crease but i blended it way too much
