Two different people recommended the same MUA to me – both of them used this gal for make-up only. One bride hired someone seperate to do hair, the other used a hair girl that this MUA brought with her.
So I just figured this gal only does bridal MU, not hair, which I’m fine with – I’ll just hire someone else. So I emailed this gal asking if she was available for our date, the booking process, etc. She replied that she’s available, and she can do hair too, and attached her hair prices.
I looked at her portfolio, and I like what she’s done for hair, it just doesn’t seem like she’s done a TON of bridal hair. But…hair is hair, right? I just don’t know if I want to book this girl for hair since she hasn’t done either of my friends’ hair and doesn’t appear to have a ton of experience.
I don’t know – I guess I’m just wondering what to say? I definitely want her to do my makeup, but I’m worried about the hair thing. What if I go to a trial and hate my hair – can I still have her do my makeup? Is there a way to word an email that says I’d rather have the hair person she brought with her to my friend’s wedding without seeming rude?
