At the moment I use Bare Minerals, have for a couple years. I’m finding it doesn’t work as well or as long as it use to and I’d like to make a change. I’ve been told Origins is very good as well as Mac….any suggestions? I want a foundation/cover up.

For foundation for you wedding, makeupforever HD foundation is the absolute best! It gives really good coverage but isn’t too heavy (in my experience mac foundations can look really cakey). Most importantly, it photographs well. For you wedding you want to avoid a foundation with a high spf because the spf reflects the light and can make you look washed out. Also, invest in a good primer.

I’d do Laura Mercier. The stuff is awesome. If you ever read the editorials closely, she is often mentioned… ESPECIALLY for her foundation primer and her tinted moisturizer. It’s kind of expensive (more than MAC) but it is amazing and well worth it.

I’ve tried so many throughout the years, including everything from the drug stores. I’ve also used Mac and Benefit. But my favorite right now is the Forever Extreme wear flawless foundation by Dior. I get it from Nordstrom, of course, and it is about $45 (I think) per bottle. One bottle lasts me about 3 months. It has AMAZING coverage, and I’ve never used anything like it. I have horrible under eye circles and it covers them without needing to use face powder. It is a liquid foundation that you can apply with your finger or a fancy applictor they try and sell you for around $30 to $40. I bought it and use it occasionally but mostly I use my finger for application and it works perfectly.
You can have them use it on you at nordstrom so you can see how it looks. I think having the right lotion base is key to making foundation look perfect and I use Olay Total Effects and it is so creamy and rich. It costs $18 at walmart and lasts me about 2 to 3 months depending on how dry my skin is. I don’t put foundation on without it. I’m not sure what skin type you have, but mine can be dry.
Hope this helps!
