I paid for their hair and make up and also bought them jewlery for the wedding day. I knew my bridesmaids would appreciate financial help and to feel pampered rather than some tote bag with their initials on it that they would never wear again. The only thing that came out of their pockets for my wedding was their dress, which was inexpensive.

I don’t think makeup/hair for bridesmaids is just for the bride. It was really important to me to look great on my sister’s wedding day. Not to show her up or anything (impossible), but because I wanted to look my best and pics last a lifetime. That said, OP, I would pay for the hair/makeup and get them a gift as well.

I’m paying for all of them to have their make up done (both hair and make up for our moms as a gift), letting them choose whatever they want, no requirements. They are paying for their hair if they want it done. I wanted everyone to be pampered the morning of.

It’s really expensive, but it’s the least I could do for them. They are throwing me an awesome bachelorette and shower, and a few of them are traveling quite a ways. I am also getting them a nice gift bag too though. It’s a monogrammed tote, robe, flip flops, Kate Spade make up case, Kate Spade passport cover, mimosa kit, and a picture frame with a picture of us in it.
