I voted hair first because sometimes I sweat a little when dealing with the curling iron or straightener and I wouldn’t want it to mess up my makeup.

@lisaelanna: +1! I’m prone to getting a little over heated when curling/flat ironing my hair as well.

In general, I do my hair second, makeup first.

During my trial, my stylist/MUA put my hair in hot rollers, worked on my makeup, then styled my hair. To me, it just seemed like the most practical sequence with regards to time.

@Monkey786:  it’s a little late to reply to this thread, however I’ll still add my two cents Smile

I remember reading in a beauty magazine that you should do your makeup first and then hair second. If you start with your hair, the oils from your hair (even if it’s freshly washed), can transfer onto your hands and then onto your face when you’re doing your makeup.

As a Makeup Artist and Hairstylist, I always do hair first, then move on to makeup.  I do it for reasons stated, and I find hair tends to last longer then makeup in regards to retouches, so I’d rather the makeup be done as the last thing.
