Def do makeup but go for a super natural look. Even people who look flawless without makeup can look washed out in pics without it.

I would vote light makeup for sure! Airbrushed makeup can actually look very natural when done correctly. That, a little blush mascara and lip color and you’ll look great.

@ktsteimel is spot on – professional photography can wash you out if you’re not careful.

Definitely do makeup. Photography is not kind to the unmade female face, generally speaking. Go with something minimal and natural. If you don’t do usually, have a pro do it for you. You’d spend as much as a makeup artist will cost buying your own products that you’ll likely not use before they go bad if you don’t wear makeup day-to-day.

swebee:  if your worried about smuggling you can do temporary tattoo make up I believe. Not had it done myself but a salon near where we use to live did it. Not sure how its done or long it lasts. But might be worth looking into.

swebee:  I’d say wear a little bit of makeup. Hire a makeup artist as they’ll know how to properly apply it so that your pictures come out stunning. There was a bride on the bee a while ago who opted out of wearing makeup on her wedding day and really regretted it. Yes, all of us are beutiful but it’s nice to get alittle bit of “help” every once in a while ๐Ÿ™‚

I think everyone looks better with a liiiiiiittle bit of makeup, even if you don’t want to look all done up- especially when you’re being photographed. I would make sure your eyebrows looked flawless, something to even out your skintone, a bit of blush, mascara and lip chap/gloss would still look very natural. You could add a neutral eyeshadow and a bit of eyeline and face highlighter if you want a bit more of a “look” while still looking natural.

I also vote even just a little makeup. if you’re worried about smudging it, definitely get a trial done. That way you’ll know if it’ll be uncomfortable or not and will get used to having it on too.

Doodle14:  it looks natural, but for someone never wearing anything it might FEEL like a lot.

I am also never wearing any make up and will do my own for the wedding most likely and I’ll prioritze how I feel over how i might look in pics…

You always wanna look like yourself, in real life and pics..

Grr just write a huge reply but got logged out and my post was cleared? In a nutshell:

I Agree with what others have said about wearing a little bit of natural looking makeup.

I would also be buying some makeup now to start wearing occasionally to get used to the feeling and of not touching your face (eyes especially) throughout the day.

Definitely have a trial and be really clear to your makeup artist that you never wear makeup so you want it to be minimal.

I read in a bridal magazine recently that you have to be careful if you don’t usually wear much makeup (or in your case any) because a Kim KW smokey eye may look fab on her, but it’s far too much for normal makeup wearers. If you look at celebrity makeup to show your artist make sure you choose ladies who don’t wear a tonne, or wear it very naturally.

Also…please try out some very natural fake eyelashes!! Of course try some out beforehand, but the false eyelashes go a LONG way and can still look natural. It’s amazing how much they make your eyes pop when photographed. They have individual lashes (not the ones pre-attached to a strip) that can really make a difference.
