futuremrsm16:  Do you have dry or oily skin? It makes a difference in what you should use. I have very oily skin and I use the below products. I really do love them! I stay matte all day and doesn’t look heavy. I don’t use a bb cream as I really like the look of this foundation. I like a more natural look.

My favorite BB is the Maybelline Dream Pure BB, but I’ve heard great things about the IT cosmetics CC cream. I have had crap luck with face primers (I’m using a CoverGirl one right now that’s ok) – none have wowed me.

I also second Revlon Colorstay if you’re oily (I’ve never used the normal/dry version because that’s not my skin type, I’m combo oily). It’s my fave medium coverage drugstore foundation.

Dr Jart Water Fuse is so good.

I always use a separate primer for my eyes and face.

I’m in love with this for eyes $25 CAD):

And of course, Smashbox for face ($45 CAD):

I’ve tried all primers under the sun.  The best one is Rimmel Stay Matte primer.  It’s only 8 bucks, applies smoothly (not sticky) and controls shine pretty well.  It’s a lot better than all the expensive ones I’ve tried.

Hard Candy Primer (the grey shine control one) has been the best one I have found in drugstore. Not a BB user, but I do enjoy Loreal TrueMatch foundation. I use the matte one for oily skin. It really depends on your skin tone/coloring and normal/oily skin.

There are different primers depending on what your skin needs are. But a high end option is Dr. Brandt pores no more, while I love the nivea men’s after shave balm from the drugstore. While the latter isn’t a traditional primer per say, both do such a good job of creating a smooth base for the rest of your makeup without a silicone-y feel.

I love Benefit’s POREfessional primer, and my HG foundation is IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC cream; it’s surprisingly full coverage, it almost entirely covers my scars.
