I’m no MUA but it seems to me the inspiration pics and the pics you loved all have much darker, more dramatic, makeup than what she gave you.  The look in your trial is a bit glam, but still pretty toned down.

the other thing that stands out to me is that all of the images you like have no pores or freckles.

Hope you figure out what it is you don’t like, and get exactly what you want!!

I think it looks great, but agree that some slightly more dramatic lashes put in to make your eyes pop will help, as well as a bit more contour 🙂

I don’t know makeup at all, but it looks to me like the eye makeup in all the google photos is much more dramatic at the outside of the eyes than it is in your trial photos. Maybe you want yours more like that, darker or with the eyeliner coming to a more dramatic point?

I don’t think its blended enough? I can see some visible lines on your forehead so I don’t know if it’s too caked on or something. It needs more depth if that makes sense.

I would go back and not get the spraybrush. All my friends who have tried it say it doesn’t look as good as normal applied makeup but ive never tried it myself.

ETA: You are a very pretty girl and this makeup doesn’t do you justice. Doesn’t bring out any features and makes you look meh.

I think you’d need your eyebrows more filled in, eyeline that extend more (in the photos you showed, it all goes on after the lid but not on your make up!), you need white on your lower waterline, not black, a bit of contouring, bigger eyelashes, shinier eyeshadows and another shade of lipstick!

I think it’s simply underdone.

Exactly what pp are saying. You are wanting a more dramatic look and she went a little more natural. All your inspiration pics look like contoured faces with highlight and a little bit more of a shimmer on the eyelid .

The only thing that I “don’t like” is the under eye. The black eyeliner on the under lid always makes me think of when the girls first started wearing eyeliner in high school because it smudges and comes off so easy.lol I prefer it to be more shaded directly under the lashes as well so it looks more filled in.

Definitely with thicker and more dramatic lashes and filled brows would help achieve the look you’re going for. I would suggest your makeup artist use bolder eye shadow colors too as well as more contour. Highlight, too for more of a pop/glow!

In your pics, I’m not seeing a pearl finish on the eyeshadow come across – was it pretty shiny and just not coming through in the lighting in your photo? It looks more matte – I would have them switch to a pearly type finish for the champagne color on the lid rather than matte.

Your smokey eye also looks like it’s a very blended light brown, when your inspo pics were much darker (like chocolate brown or gunmetal.) She should amp up the contrast and go more dramatic on the smoke.

Also, the inspiration and the pic of yourself you liked has thicker top liner with a cat eye going on – in your trial makeup, it looks like they ended the liner edge near the end of your eye… I’m not seeing an extended cat eye with the classic flick up at the end, which can really change the look of your eye shape. (look at your closed eye vs. inspiration pic’s extended liner).

Finally, as others have said, darker fuller eyebrows.

Overall you look great though! And I love that lipstick shade 🙂

hmbride1 :  The blush looks peachy and the photos it’s more pink. She didn’t match the blush to what world look natural. I know you want glam but the blush has to look like its coming from within. That means the artist looks at your undertone. The blush you have is more matte and in the photos a bit shimmery without being glitter.

I agree with PP’s. First thing my eye’s were drawn too, were your eyebrows! They are a beautiful shape but they need to be more darkly defined. Also I’m not seeing a dramatic, cat eye liquid liner on your eye’s which is a common theme in your inspo pics. Either way you will be a beautiful bride!

Eyebrows and eyelashes are the biggest differences. Brows should be a shade or two darker, and then you need fake lashes. Honestly, if you did those 2 things you would see such a huge difference.

You need more. More eyeshadow, more eyelashes, more contouring and highlighter, just more of everything.
