I think those dark colors just look horrendous on everyone. Youll regret it.

Tht blackish plum lip is horrendous! It ages you 10 years older.  Please don’t do it on your wedding day,  cause you gonna have to look at those pictures for years to come.

Do you really want the upkeep? No matter how little you eat or drink, or how expensive the lipstick (and primer, and sealer; it doesn’t matter) and/or the artist is: bold lips get everywhere. They need constant re-application, and they can smudge all across your face or his face or the dress.

It’s gorgeous, and I’m not going to tell you to avoid something because it will look dated (the most classic weddings still end up with tons of dated elements, and shouldn’t you want to remember which year it was and what you were into then?), but dark lipstick is a nightmare assh*le to deal with, and weddings are stressful enough.

ETA: and yes, you look very, very pretty and fresh/youthful in the coral. It’s very much your color. I don’t think that particular dark shade matches your undertones, actually, but what I think about how it makes you look isn’t the point. If you love it, I get it.

I like the coral color better. The dark lip color is too hooker imo.

The coral really brightens your look.  It has my vote.

herecomesthebride625: I like the coral on you! That would be my pick for you. It brightens up your whole face.

If you wanted to do a dark lip, a berry-toned red would be much more flattering.

Obviously this person has a wholly different skin tone and than you, but, if you’re set on having a dark lip color, I would say don’t go darker than about this color.

I lovvve the dark lip but thats just personal preference.

I also argue that dark lipsticks get everywhere and smudge (or look awful on anyone, cause I look bangin’ in them and I can say that with confidence). I wear bold lips daily in the shade you are wearing and others. As long as I use good quality liquid mattes I don’t have a problem with my lipstick holding up. I usually wear them for over 10+ hours as well, so, I have very high lipstick standards. My lips even hold up to all sorts of Too Much Information situations! My advice, if you do a bold lip, go with a liquid matte in a good brand.

Coral is definitely more bridal and classic.

I say only wear the dark lip if it’s truly representative of who you are (ie, your friends would DIE if they saw you without it!) or something like that.

But gosh, either way, you are one heck of a looker!
