My wedding is mid-May and I’m just getting around to my makeup trial this Monday.
Overall, I sorta liked the look but it was a little more dramatic and less natural than I was going for. We toned i down a bit before I left which was a huge step in the right direction, but I sorta feel somethign is still off.
I have a bright red sunburn, so if my face looks reddish – it probably is.
I don’t have one without makeup for comparison, but here’s my everyday makeup
Here’s my makeup trial look, indoors with bright lighting – Please ignore my hair, it’s a disaster.
I feel like the eyes, although looking okay in person, photographed really harsh in bright indoor lighting. I’m worried as my photos are outdoors in a garden at mid-day… but my reception is indoors, candlelight.
So here’s outdoors at about 7:30 p.m. Sun is just starting to set:
Then 5 hours laters, indoors – sorry for poor cell phone quality:
THoughts? Advice? Anything you would change?

It does look a bit heavy to me, especially if you we’re going for a more natural look. I actually like the last picture the most as its a bit toned down. I think a lighter eyeshadow might help. Might be worth giving it another go.

I like the lips and eyes. However, the brows do not look “polished.” Overall, I dont think it looks bad at all.

yes I agree with it looking a little heavy. if you want it to look more natural i would just lighten the shade of the shadow used in the outside corner 🙂

Its too much. In the first picture you look so natural and pretty. I think your MUA needs to work with what you got and not try and change it. Youve got a nice rosey colour which has been caked over with make up and the heavy eye make up really hides your natural blue eyes

The other thing that’s bugging me is that I love your freckles and they’re overly covered up in the 2nd and 3rd pics. I think a lighter sheerer foundation would work better.

I would tone down the eyes a little, your natural makeup is very pretty. Are you wearing false lashes in the prof make up shots? I asked my makeup artist to tone down my eyeliner, after my trial… maybe lighter shade of eyeliner as well.
I think the foundation, blush and lips look great. Just your eyes look a bit heavy

You’re naturally really pretty. I think that the rest if your makeup is nice and fesh, but your eyes have been overpowered.
Maybe more of a neutral eye, fine eyeliner and false lashes to frame your eyes?

What do you think of that eye? Very hard to find what I’m talking about! 🙂

I don’t like the e heavy brown eye shadow. Maybe a lighter violet or mauve colour would be better.

It’s a bit heavy for my taste. I think the eyeshadow needs to be blended so there isn’t that harsh line.

Did you ask for a dramatic smokey eye? Maybe tone them down a touch and see again?
If you want the dramatic look, then it’s spot on. But if that’s not what you want, try again and keep us posted!
