The big day is getting near and I am getting nervous. I just talked to my makeup artist and my trial won’t be until two weeks before the wedding. This is making me nervous because she does not do airbrush makeup and if it doesn’t last the whole day (trial is in the AM) I won’t have time to find a new artist.
So my question to you ladies is how far apart were your trials and if you did not do airbrush did any of you have issues with it lasting or looking ‘fresh’ later in the day/night.
Thanks for any input!
Also I love pools so I’ve included one on when you got your trial.

I had my hair/makeup trial 4 weeks before my wedding.
I had airbrush, which certainly had staying power but didn’t help control my oily skin.

I had my artist do my make-up trial the day we took our engagement photos, 11 months in advance.

I had three make up trials with different artists because the first two were such disasters. While I hate to put any stress on you I think you need to keep in mind that if this MUA doesn’t work out do you have someone else you can book?
In order to alleviate the unknown do you have inspiration photos and ideas of what you want? If it is something that is really outside your comfort level I might suggest a trip to MAC or Sephora to test it out first. That way if you don’t like it you can research better options before your actual trial.

I wouldn’t wait until 2 weeks before unless you are reallllly comfortable with your MUA. My first one was absolutely awful and the second I had a serious allergic reaction to (two days off of work and a trip to the clinic for a steroid shot, fun!). I did mine about a month out and honestly wish I had done it sooner.
