I have seen a few really nice makeup trials from MAC counters, and I have a stupid question — if you go that route, do you buy the makeup and recreate the look yourself or can you book an appointment for your wedding morning? Or am I missing something obvious?

At most makeup counters, you can book the appointment for the day of your wedding. I’ve never had an appointment with MAC, but I did use Sephora for my engagement pictures. They’ll do your makeup as long as you spend $50 on products (I think that’s the amount, it could be less). I’ve heard MAC is similar, but you’ll probably want to call your local counter to confirm.

You can definitely just get MAC to do your makeup. I had my makeup done their for my engagement pictures. It cost 55 dollars to get it done.

You can yes, I know Mac charges 50 buck worth of product.

you get your trial done at the MAC counter then the makeup artist will come to your house and do it the day of your wedding. That’s how I am doing it. Had to spend 50 dollars worth of products day of trial, she is charging me 100 dollars day of wedding.
