I recently had my makeup trial, and am not sure if I should be going for a different look. Specifically, I am thinking about doing a nude or more subdued red lip. Also, does this eyeshadow need to be blended more? Forgive the huge picture, and my general pale-ness!

I know next to nothing about make-up but not loving the lip color at all. You look lovely in general, gorgeous eyes btw, but that bright red…
I’ll let someone else chime in about the eyeshadow.

I am also not wild about the lip color. You have beautiful lips BTW! I agree the eyes need a bit of tweaking, your eye color is beautiful as well but I don’t think the eye shadow does enough to bring them out. Maybe curler lashes and a better blend?

I love the eyeshadow, but the cheeks seem dewy. If that’s what you’re going for, great! Personally I don’t like the dewy look and would set with a matte finishing power.
The red lips look a little much for me, but if I saw it in the wedding dress I could totally change my mind! 😊

If you plan on having your hair down, I think a more natural look would be better. This type of intense definition needs an updo.

I say accentuate the eyes more so that they pop and do a more subdued red or even a pinky/peach/nude colour on your lips.
I think they could def help you out with some bronzer & blush too just to add some dimension to the look.

greatgatsby26 : not loving the lip color. instead of looking at your face, all I see are lips.

I’d opt for a softer lip and bolder eyes

I don’t like the eyeshadow and mascara, the way it’s done makes it looks like your eyes droop down rather than open them up

I like the eyeshadow and cheeks but, not the lip color. I think you could still do a bold lip if you want it but, that shade just isn’t right for you.

Bolder eyes! More mascara or fake lashes. I like the bold lip on you, but try a couple different shades.

You’really very pretty first of all. If you play up the eyes, keep the lips low key so they pop out. Vice versa. This way you don’t have too much going on in the face. The cheeks need to be contoured using a less vibrant blush shade/bronzer. The eyelashes make your gorgeous eyes look droopy. I could see you with curly hair.

greatgatsby26 : It looks as though it were done by an amateur. I’d change artist honestly

Your lips are gorgeous and having a strong color on them is a great retro look that you can totally pull off. I’d do different eye makeup though, and I’m not a big fan of the eye makeup in general. Maybe it’s the blending. Just remember that a strong lip is a bold look in general but even more so when you’re a bride. If it’s not very much you and/or you’re not looking to make a statement, tone it down. But I really like the color.
