    You look great!

I would have them nix the frosted eye shadow under your brow (go with matte or a slight shimmer) – and darken the lip a little.

If you aren’t happy with it now, you won’t be happy with it again.  Find a new place, maybe a Clinique counter (more natural make-up) or bold, dark make-up like MAC.

You and I have a similar skin tone (I am a little darker though) & sometimes I also don’t feel like browns/golds really show up on me and feel like I need darker.

Perhaps you should use a little black or dark gray – I feel that with our skin tone black doesn’t look as dramatic as it does on other people, esp if you use lightly. I would put the black on the far outer corner of the lids and blend in – like a more “natual smokey eye”

Also, like you, my eyes and eyebrows have a larger space of skin in between them – personally I do not like makeup going up all the way to my eyebrow b/c I feel like it looks too overdone. To be honest, I don’t think this looks the best on you either b/c it brings too much attention to that part of your skin vs. focusing on your actual eye.

Since you have went to this lady twice, I would go somewhere else and show them this pic and tell them your likes/dislikes. Also, play around with black/dark brown on your lids and see if you like it.

@GroovyHippieChick:  I agree completely.  And you can always tell them that you want a more dramatic eye.

Overall I think it looks really pretty 🙂

It looks great, but just not for your big day. It is very natural but its for everyday wear.

I think you should try somewhere else. You have really beautiful eyes and this makeup really isn’t accentuating that. The frosting is (IMO) not wedding makeup and you could do much better.

That being said, you’re a gorgeous gal who will shine in any event.

I personally like it. I agree with PPs about the brow shadow, though; it is too much.  //  If you don’t like her, I would find someone else.  You should find someone that you have confidence in.

I think that you are one of the prettiest girls I’ve seen on this website, and that makeup just does not do you justice. I feel like your lips should be more natural, and your eyes should be more like BAM! Cuz you are beautiful…The makeup on the girl here at 21 seconds would be prefect!

I think you should read some reviews/ask for recommendations, pick a new place, and let them do their thing. It sounds like your first trial was no good and you overcorrected by trying to tell the next makeup artist how to do her job. Any makeup artist worth her salt will be able to tell what colors will flatter you most. Personally, I think you need a bit more color on cheeks and lips to give you that ‘glowing bride’ look, but your MUA was probably nervous about going there because you said you wanted brown and gold. From what you’ve said, my sense is that you don’t want a ‘natural’ look so much as you want something sophisticated and tasteful (as opposed to flashy or dramatic).

Also, you have really beautiful eyes and I think you should play them up a bit more. 🙂

The makeup doesn’t strike me as wedding makeup.  I would suggest finding a new MUA and having a new trial.

By The Way – Your EYEBROWS ARE AMAZING!! The arch is PERFECT!!!!!!!  I am so jealous!

It looks good, but not enough imapct for a wedding day. Your eyes should pop, so darker shadows and liner? I actually like your lip colour, just right.

Maybe have your eyebrows lightly thicker, but that is my personal taste, so feel free to ignore me!

But you look pretty, not to much to tweak!
