I don’t have any stories for you but have you tried showing him photos of e-pics? Sometimes guys need a visual of how wonderful they can be.

Try showing him the photos you already have of you together and say that it’s a wonderful opportunity to get more photos because either you love these photos so much and want more (if you have a lot) or you don’t have many and it would mean a lot to have more.

Is it possible that he’s feeling self conscious about himself at the moment? Does he know what he is going to wear? Does he like those clothes? This may be why he is unenthusiastic about it.

Does he understand how long it takes to edit the photos? Particularly if you are getting them for free. And that’s why you need them done now.

It will work out in the end, good luck and I can’t wait to see the final result.

Some more thoughts: Does he understand that it will be fun? Is there some way to help his see the fun? Could you have a picnic in between, nerf gun fight? Those would be awesome pictures!

My hubby hates having his picture taken.  He’ll do it because he knows I want him to, but usually grudgingly.  Our photographer for the e-pics and the wedding was amazing and soooo much fun to work with!  Because of that, Anton ended up actually enjoying himself AND he’s actually *gasp* admitted that he LIKES many of them!  πŸ˜€  There is hope, just try and think what you can do to make it fun for him and take his mind off the fact that someone is taking pictures of him.  πŸ™‚

@indibee:

A snowball fight would make AMAZING pictures. That would be awesome! Definitely work on the coat thing so that he feels like he looks good in the pictures. Perhaps bring a thermos with hot chocolate/tea etc to keep warm.

I’m sure he’ll come around in the end. πŸ™‚

I recently did an engagement photo shoot for two of my best friends that will be getting married this summer, because though they plan to do a shoot with their wedding photographer, they will not have the opportunity to do it on their college campus (they are both out of staters)

The darling bride was of course ecstatic, and she is beyond photogenic and a wonderful camera ham (in the best possible way). Her Fiance however was uncertain about it, and I was confused at first because he is usually a camera ham too. He confessed that he was embarassed about other students seeing our awkward group as we ran around campus and I made him do cheesy things πŸ™‚ Since I have *ahem* “freelancer” level equipment  ( a DSLR, but a prosumer model), it didn’t look like some professional photo shoot– hence him feeling silly.

We bought him coffee and he got over it and the pictures are amazing! I can’t wait to surprise her at the shower (I’m the MOH) with a photo book of the best shots!

So basically what I am saying is– it may be something odd that you wouldn’t even think of that is bugging him, and can be easily solved by communicating about it, telling him he is silly, and making him enjoy the free photo shoot anyway =P

I had this problem! Even 5 minutes before the photoshoot he was trying to come up with excuses to get out (my tummy hurts, etc).

But, after we got going he had a great time. I was surprised how great he did. He wasn’t shy or nervous and he was very patient. I thought the whole photoshoot would be a drag because of his bad attitute, so afterwords I was so happy that he decided to make the best of it.

Here’s a picture of us taken at our e-shoot.

Good Luck with yours!

I am on the other side Fiance wanted them done and I didn’t personally for me they are a waste of money.  We have some awesome pictures of us from vacations that we are going to us and our photographer is just going to use the E pic time aloted for more time for the wedding. I rather have pics of the wedding than e pictures.
