I’m trying to find some good ceremony music to go with the processional song I’ve chosen for my wedding. Here’s the story…
I have a lot of talented musicians in my family. For the past few years I’ve always imagined a certain song being played by my uncle at my wedding on piano. Nothing Else Matters by Metallica is the song, I am so stuck on having this song for my bridesmaids to walk down the aisle to. Unfortunatly and unexpectedly, my uncle passed last fall. His son (my cousin) is a talented guitarist and has agreed to play the song for me as a favor and in honor of my uncle. Only problem is that he plays electric guitar. I am totally fine with him playing on the electric guitar, but when it comes time for me to walk down the aisle to a different song, will it sound wierd to switch to piano music?
I’m trying to come up with a good non-traditional song to walk down the aisle to that would sound nice being played after a guitar piece. I don’t feel comfortable asking my cousin to play two songs on his guitar since I want to walk to a song that is not heavy metal (which is what he usually plays) haha.
I guess what I’m asking is, would it sound wierd to switch from electric guitar to piano back to back? Here is a video of the song, we’d start around the 1:00 mark.
Any advice or opinions? Thanks for reading this lengthy post!
