That is a beautiful dress!! Have you considered buying a hoop or adding crinoline to it? I would talk to a seamstress and get thier suggestions.

Just pop a crinoline under it!

You could put a crinoline under it, which will definitely give you more volume, but the skirt is not made big enough to be hooped into a big ballgown.

I added a crinoline under my A line, but as echomomm said, the skirt fabric isn’t large enough to accommodate a full hoop. You would have to have a separate skirt made, or order a dress several sizes up and have the bust taken in leaving the skirt large which may not work. I’d talk to a seamstress about your options.

I agree to add an underskirt, but I really like the volume it’s at now!

You can ask your seamstress to add some crinoline. By The Way, that dress looks gorgeous on you!

This is gorgeous!!! Have you considered a detachable skirt over the dress? They sell a lot of detachable skirts that go over a thinner or shorter dress so that you can take it off and reveal the dress underneath as a second look now.

Good luck. Bet you will be gorgeous in whatever you decide.
