ThaiL:  I made the pattern out of news paper and a great deal of error. It was far from scientific. The sewing of the dress not take very long but the beading took FOREVER! The beading on the veil took even longer than on the dress. Have you started to think about a veil? You could make something really sunning with the blush toole and lace.

The pieceing of the lace you did is devine. Seriously drool worthy!

ThaiL:  I was able to work so much on my dress so much because at the time I was unemployed! I wanted to look like an art nouveau Job ad. My family is Roma so I had to have a BIG dress for the wedding and I wanted something smaller for the reception.

I sew a good deal but I am not strong at making anything “pretty” on the inside. When you looked at the lining of my dress it was a hot mess. Do you sew a good deal? It looks like you have a nice setup.

I just cut the tulle for my veil and then sewed on the lace and beads. I have no issue with it starting to fray.  It did take a bit of time to figure out the legnth and how it would lay.

I LOVE the three laces togeather, most of all the very 3-D rosettes. Much drool.

Good luck with your dresses, bees! I’m making mine too and literally sitting among clouds of blush tulle as I’m typing this. 😉

ThaiL:  An oval veil will be STUNNING and very romantic. You should go all out and have it be very long!!!

ThaiL:  Hey, I also made my own dress and am also getting married June next year! So stoked so many ladies have made their own dresses, I got a lot of hell from my family when I told them my plan! I have a few little things that I need to do (like make the veil) and then I am done! So excited! <3 PS, your dress is looking great, cannot wait to see the final product.
