Hello everyone! My FH and I are looking at honeymoon places. We want to go somewhere where we would not go on a regular basis. We are still looking for place tho… somewhere tropical, we don’t feel like doing anything on our honeymoon, since both of us are so tired from wedding planning, work, etc. Has anyone been to Maldives and Bora Bora and do they have all inclusive resorts by any chanse? Your help will be appreciated 🙂 If anyone has great honeymoon suggestions please post :)) Thanks <3

I’ve never been but my BFF went to the Maldives for 5 nights. She said it was amazing but that there is literally nothing to do only very low key hotel bars on an evening and a bit of diving/snorkelling. There was v. little entertainment so just be sure that’s what you want 🙂

We went to Bora Bora and Moorea for our honeymoon, but we considered the Maldives as well. I’m not sure where you live, but for us, the deal breaker was the travel time to Maldives. Bora Bora for us is just an 8 hour flight + small island transfer flight. Where as the Maldives would take 2 long international flights totalling 23 hours. My friend went to the Maldives for her honeymoon so I picked her brain on the travel arrangements. Our honeymoon length was firm at 8 days so to travel 23 hours each way to get to the Maldives did not work for us.
There are no all incluvisves in Bora Bora, and I’m pretty sure there aren’t any in the Maldives either, but I could be wrong.

I just got back from my hm in Moorea and Bora Bora. If you want a place where you absolutely relax definitely go there or even to Bora Bora only. It is so gorgeous there and all we did was go to the beach or pool, some days we did an excursion and then to dinner at night. There are no all inclusives and it’s pricey but it was worth every penny.

Maldives has all-inclusives. Bora Bora does not

I haven’t been to Maldives, but Bora Bora was amazing and I’d sure be willing to go there again! I was on a boat, though, so can’t recommend a resort.

I know nothing of Bora Bora but political tensions are hot in the Maldives. I would not visit.
