nervoushebee:  I think it’s a lovely ring. The planning and thought you have clearly put into it, you have nothing to worry about. Good luck with your proposal and I pray that she says yes. X

nervoushebee: Hi there, welcome! I think she’ll love it, it’s very pretty and as she likes halos it’ll be perfect. You did good! Good luck with the proposal.

It’s a lovely ring, that’s a great size.  A lot of the “size” factor in rings/gemstones has to do with finger coverage more than ct weight.  So your girlfriend’s (hoprefully soon-to-be FI’s!) ring size will be just as important as the size of the stone/top of the ring, and since this has a halo, that will (as you pointed out) increase the finger coverage above what’s normal for a .53 ct, which is already a pretty decent-sized diamond!

Not only did you do an absolutely fantastic job, but she is going to be one very very lucky lady!! Look at all the thought and effort you’ve put in- all your researching and snooping, that’s the most important bit! You, sir, are a diamond!

Good luck and don’t bottle-it. You can do this!! 😁

If she isn’t in to jewellery then you made a great choice going with that stone size. A carat is a lot for someone who’s not a jewellery wearer! I have .50 tcw so a lot smaller diamonds then that and I also don’t wear jewellery and it took me ages to get used to it! Don’t second guess yourself you’ll be fine.

nervoushebee:  White gold is very elegant. I personally can’t wera it because I can only wear Silver and Yellow gold. It’s unusual, but I’m allergic to white and not yellow gold- go figure! edit for add on- I showed the ring to my husband, he says you did good!
