One of my best friends happens to be a guy. In standing with my closest friends during my wedding, I wanted him to be up there with me. So I asked him to and he accepted! However, in looking at all wedding photos of the wedding/bridal party, I wonder how people have shot photos that have made it look good/natural with 3-4 other female bridesmaids who are wearing similar outfits + the bride + a guy in a suit. Would anyone be willing to share their photo albums of how you posed with a mixed gender bridal party? We’re having a friend shoot photos, so I’d love to see how you’ve done it.
Also, I’m aware that some gossip may occur or people questioning my break with tradition (as should my friend when he accepted it). Here’s my other question to other ladies with male friends in their bridal party. How were your experiences in having a male in your bridal party? Did you come across any sticky situations? If so, what were they and how did you handle it?
I have a formal wedding/venue site, and while I am choosing to break with tradition, I’m struggling with how to mix the traditional with the modern. Thanks in advance for your help!
