I had a coworker who had a mangagement ring and he loved it. He wore it on his left hand, and when people asked, it gave him an opportunity to talk about his fiance and wedding plans. He was so excited to marry her, it was adorable.

we bought our engagement rings togather the day after he proposed. mine is a lost-wax casting in silver of a really cool seed pod (it looks like a lily) with a bronze dot inside to represent the seed. his is also a casting from natural material, of a seed from that pod in bronze.

DH wore one! We bought him a Qalo band so he could get used to wearing a ring and he loved it and wore it every day. And he is a very manly man. He just liked showing the world he was engaged too. Several of his friends did the same thing. Some with Sterling rings, one with a wooden ring. They all liked sharing in the joy of engagement!

I would LOVE to see that 4 carat men’s ring!

I did! I bought him a sterling silver ring after he proposed to me. He now wears it on a chain around his neck <3 we were married in November and he picked out a white gold and sapphire wedding band for himself. (And has a Star Wars ring that he wears when he’s at work) haha

The canary diamond Richard game Samantha on sex and the city dropped my jaw. Hereʻs a similar one owned by Kelly Clarkson

mstattoolady :  My pleasure! Love your ring as well…and that dress and shoes you have picked out! So romantic. Reminds me of my moms wedding dress except she had a pencil skirt with your top and jacket. Best of luck!

desertgypsy :  here you go! Honestly he’s a big chunky tattooist who just seems to be able to get away with the look!! It’s a 4ct fancy grey moissanite that he got on the internet and we had our jeweller set it  it was SUPPOSED to be put away until the wedding but he couldn’t wait so now it’s a man-gagement ring and wedding ring in one!

In Scandinavia all men have engagement rings 🙂 but only the ladies get a wedding ring, traditionally. Some men change their engagement ring to a new wedding ring, but otherwise the engagement ring just becomes their wedding ring! 🙂 I like the fact that also the man looks “taken”, not like his single until the wedding while the bride to be is put on hold.

And also it is not called anything silly like “mangement rings”, it is just a engagement ring with the exact same purpose and meaning as the woman’s ring has.

In circles of people I know/grew up with, its very common for men to have more than one ring. Maybe a white and yellow gold, one with diamonds, one without, or one for everyday, one for date nights and the fancy one for when he really throws it on! 😍 So I could see how, if one did this, maybe the engagement could be the “casual one.”

My SO is not a ring guy, but he has watches in variety just like listed above. I would love to get him an engagement ring (loovee the wood ones!) but he’d probably not remember it. Ever. Maybe an engagement watch when its our time? (Accidental, terrible pun.)

In my culture no matter the gender you get an engagement ring, usually a plain band in gold so that goes for my future husband too. When married men usually just add the wedding date in the ring or get a second and wears two.

I bought my Fiance a practice ring that was relatively inexpensive so it would be okay if he lost it or didn’t like it.  I felt bad about picking his ring without getting his formal approval first, but we had gone to numerous jewelry stores together and I had sent him tons of screenshots, so I knew his likes and dislikes.  His only serious guidance was that he wanted our engagement rings to match, which meant mixing rose gold with white metals.  I anticipated that sometime before the wedding he would go out and choose a permanent ring that would be expensive and fancy.

We had recently bought a house together, so I requested a customized version of this geo-coordinate ring from MCDecarie on Etsy:

The exact ring she sent was:

He loves that the silver ring actuates and spins.  He says the ring is a keeper and he doesn’t want something more expensive.  (Yay!)

He was thrilled to wear it early, too.  He reasoned that he is committed to me no matter what, so it is irrelevant that the wedding hasn’t happened yet.   However, when he first starting wearing it, he got a few anxious questions from his family and co-workers who were worried they had missed out on the ceremony.  (Nope!  Not yet.)

I considered a thumbprint ring, but the spinner ring was a better choice for our mixed metals requirement.
