While I or my Darling Husband are not one for a Man-gagement ring, I am one for an engagement present for the guy. I got Darling Husband his dream watch for our engagement celebration. I had planned it out a few years before so I knew exactly which watch to get him.

I think it’s a great idea 🙂 Fiance only wants to have a wedding ring though, otherwise I would have gotten him one!

I’m making one (designing it and sourcing the gems) for my Fiance as we speak! He’s very impatient to wear it, lol! He points to that finger and says, “STILL NAKED!” 🙂

He won’t wear it together with his wedding ring, it’ll be for before the wedding and for special occasions on his right hand, after.

I think it’s weird. My fiance said he wouldn’t want one.

i’d MUCH rather spend money on the wedding /honeymoon then an engagement ring for him.   (BTW Darling Husband is laughin in the other room)

We went the opposite direction; neither of us had an engagement ring.  But if you like the symbolism of an engagement ring, I don’t see why he shouldn’t, too.

@HisIrishPrincess: I can understand your feelings.  But shouldn’t they apply to getting you an engagement ring, as well as him?

My FH wanted an engagement ring. He mentioned it half joking- like, where’s my engagement ring! I thought it was funny. He considered wearing his band (which we have not yet purchased) before the wedding but decided against it.

i say, why not! some guys want to flaunt their betrothment too!

I guess “we”.. “expect” our men to say … your lovely but i’m taken .. have a great day

I know it’s some … “giving the family plaid” to girl/women… you’re being accepted into HIS family ..
