My husband said when we got engaged that he was happy to be engaged and wanted to wear a ring like I was able to wear mine. He got a rose gold one and then his wedding band is dressier. He is pretty stylish so he now has 4 different rings that he rotates between. I thought it was so cute he wanted to wear one so I was totally down!

We marked are enagagment with the exchanging of rings, the same way we will mark the start of our marriage, his is just a plain tungsten band because thats what he wanted. we are claiming each other, he is not marking me as his property, we are partners.

My Fiance is wearing his college ring as his man-gagement ring. I offered to get him a white gold band to match the ring we got for me (still don’t have it, or pictures WOULD be up! I won’t get it till this weekend, actually) but he said the ones we could afford were too austere . . . he wants man-made diamonds, just like me, but obviously smaller.

@Stargaze31:  I just asked my Fiance who is sitting right beside me what he thought about the man-gagement ring and he was HORRIFIED! Haha. Not his thing.

@carmelbride103:  Nope. At least two PPs said it’s the norm in Scandinavia.

I like the idea – it never made sense for just the woman to wear an engagement ring.

I love the idea! I have brought it up several times and he insists that he will NOT wear one. He is similar to Prince William in that he doesnt even really want to wear a wedding ring. Grr Frown
