beyaz :  Mine is definitley a mix between the East/West and Petite Cathedral! I like the basket on the East/West setting, and it has the same thickness on the shank as the petite cathedral ring. If she wants something trendy, traditional, and delicate, that one seems to check all the boxes.

beyaz :  my vote is the petite cathedral BUT! with diamonds on the sides! it is classy with a little extra sparkle. Would you consider getting her the same setting with side diamonds? its still a classic! I only say this because i have a plain band and wish i went for the extra sparkle on the band!

I think it is harder to find a wedding band to fit with an east west setting.

I think it is harder to find a wedding band to fit with an east west setting. You can see real rings on Blue Nile; look for “recently purchased” on the menu.

Have you contemplated getting her something with some side diamonds on the shank? It can be done within a reasonable price.  I can’t speak for all women – there are plenty of solitaire lovers. But we ended up switching out my solitaire setting fof something with some more bling… but is still in my opinion classic and stylish;-)

Ask her. She’s the one who knows what she likes.

beyaz :  the one beethebride posted tapers near the center Stone. It has three pave stones on each side. I have this setting with a cushion center and I love it.

I reckon if she wants a surprise (I assume she does as you are asking here instead of asking her) you show her the options and get her to narrow it down to 2 or 3. And then surprise her with one of them.
