I’m sure standing in the puddle of water around an electric appliance didn’t help, either. Guy fiddles with electricity while having electricity-conducting metal on him standing in a puddle of water. Sucks for his family, but Darwin’s theory is at work here. Even in computer repair 101 they teach you that all metal things are gone, off and stowed away before you even touch a power switch. It’s pretty standard for any electric appliance.

GonnaBeMrsB:  Holy sh!t that is tragic.  Agree with PP, stupid move, but still very sad and very young.

Hyperventilate:  + 1

very sad for his family and loved ones but I have to agree with the PP. any type of metal should should not be near a body of water and electricity. this could have happened with any kind of metal, not just his wedding ring. it just wasnt smart to ask to turn the electricity on because then his body essentially becomes an open circuit. physics 101. just hate he had to learn the hard way.

but his wedding ring did not kill him, that title is a tad misleading.

sending good vibes to his family, im sure finding him like that will forever be etched into their brains.

Meh, he would have gotten shocked whether he was wearing his ring or not, unfortunately. This is actually a better warning about working on electrical appliances without unplugging them or turning the breaker off.

it is sad, but, the “man killed by wedding band” title is what is known a sensationalist click-bait. It’s simply misleading and untrue, and only there to get you to click on the article so AOL gets paid.
