In nearly 9 years, I have only seen him cry once, which was because of a family death.  He got close at the wedding but not that close.

He’s a big softy, but not much of a crier. We’re LDR, and he has cried every time we’ve said goodbye at the airport. He’s shed a tear or two the day before we go to the airport and had some sad final nights together. That is it though, and those are the only times he has reported crying the last couple years.

I’ve only seen my fiance cry once, and it was the result of a HUGE fight we had.  I’m hoping he’ll cry on the wedding day ๐Ÿ™‚

He cries when we get in really bad arguments and when I leave San Diego to come back up to San Francisco

I saw my husband crying for the frst time when i was suspected for cancer, then i fell on the floor and just blew in tears, i felt him coming nearby and crying. I’m 22 years old. The last time i saw him crying was because of me being furious and packing myself, he got too drunk a day before and acted like a stupid, i was just angry. He’s more sensitive i think than my previous bf (i didn’t have too many) i married my husband 3 months ago. Sensitive or not, i don’t care, i don’t like him crying, it makes me feel weak, and i seriously love his smile more than his tears.

He cried when each of his grandparents died…but briefly. I’ve seen him tear up at things…like sad news on TV or sweet moments on TV that remind him of our daughter. The end of Knocked Up gets him EVERY time!

He mostly just gets angry when he’s upset about something…he has also teared up during some disagreements we’ve had.

But I cry enough for the both of us!

He cried twice during big fights, but they are so far apart that it’s definitely not often.  He did tear up during our ceremony!

In the 2 1/2 years we’ve been together, I have seen him cry once. That was when his friend was killed in a horrific car accident and we didn’t know whether his wife and infant child were going to make it.

During the 5 years we’ve been together, I’ve only seen him cry twice:  First time was when he proposed, second time was at our wedding.  Other than that, he’s pretty stoic ๐Ÿ™‚

ETA – both times he wasn’t sobbing or anything, just tears of happiness!

aw man! i meant to hit the “he cries, but only for very specific reasons” option. instead i accidentally hit “he doesn’t cry, he gets pissed off”. Granted that is sometimes true lol but that’s not how he is in generally. I think I can count on one hand how many times I have seen him cry. once when our son was born, and it as like one glistening tear down his cheek (does that even count?!), once was when after a year of trying to get me to give our relationship another shot (after being apart for some years) I finally said yes, and most recently it was while watching coverage of the shooting. He has cried more happy tears than sad ones.

Mine is a big ol emotional baby and I love him for it. I didn’t use to cry until I met him and he blames himself for my newfound baby-ness. I think it’s adorable when he cries. His step father also cries at cheesy things like commercials or a winning football game. Ha.

The weird thing is I rememberrears ago deciding that a crying man was actually sexy to me. Serves me right….

I’ve seen him cry only handful of times.  In the past few years, only once in particular.  Ugh.

It was before we were engaged, but he was thinking about it.  He got way way WAY too drunk one night at a party we hosted.  I put him to bed, cleaned up a bit, and closed up the house.  I went into bed with him, snuggled up close, and he threw up.  On me.  In. My. Face.

I jumped up, yanked him up, planted him on the floor with his face in a trash can.  I stripped the bed, threw everything in the washer (good bye down comforter!), and jumped in the shower.  After a rinse, I went back into the room and saw him crying into the trash can.  I pulled him to his foot, stripped him, and shoved him into the shower, where he sat in the tub crying.

When I asked him what was wrong, he told me, “You’re never going to marry me now!”
