I started out overweight, but didn’t gain much in first trimester due to low appetite. Then I was diagnosed with GD and had to totally change my eating patterns- 3 meals and 3 snacks equally spread out through the day, always having protein with carbs, filling up on veggies, cutting any sweetened beverage, and adding in light activity after meals. Whether you have GD or not, it’s a pretty good way to eat. Hopefully I keep in the habit and can get back to a healthier weight after delivery!
