Shellac and gel are the best for having a long lasting manicure that does not wreck your nails. To get the color off, just soak your nails in acetone (not nail polish remover) and moisturize the crap out of your nails after that. The acetone is actually harder on the nails than the color.

ETA: Regular manicure is fine, but you must be very careful not to chip it before the wedding.

A regular manicure will look absoutely fine in the pictures . The only benefit to Shellac is that it stays on for a long time (2 weeks usually) and it is completely dry as soon as your hands come out from under the UV lamp. If you get your nails done the day before and are absolutely certain not to touch anything for at least 2 hours, then I say go with a regular manicure and save yourself the money.  Of course, if you want the polish to stay nice for a honeymoon or need it more than  few days, I’d say go Shellac.

Shellac has to be soaked off (with some scraping, too) and does do damage to the natural nail.  It isn’t as much damage as fake nails, but it is tough on your nails.
