Welcome to the bee 🙂

And congratulations on finding your gown. It is beautiful!!!

I am wearing a lace gown with a matching fingertip mantilla veil, so I am probably biased with my opinion. I say yes to wearing a mantilla with your gown. I would go with a fingertip of shorter, so you don’t take away from the back of your gown. I found the matching lace for mine on eBay and made my own, but if you don’t want to make yours, ask your seamstress if she/he can get the matching lace for you and if they can make it for you.

i love your dress! sooo pretty! i love the details of the lace and the deep-V back!!!

i was debating the exact same thing! i really couldn’t decide! i ended up buying a mantilla veil and renting a plain veil, both long veils so that i would have the option to wear either. i ended up wearing the plain veil because, even though i love teh mantilla veil i bought, it was too much for my lace gown.

I guess for me it depends on your wedding.  Inside or Outside, Evening or Daytime, Formal or Casual.

maybe get one with a thinner trim of lace so it’s not so overwhelming with the dress?  i think it would look good either way.  also, maybe wear mantilla for ceremony and then take it off for the reception?

i would suggest not renting because there are so many options out there that are cheaper than buying from the bridal store. I had the same question before, searched online, and ended up buying from myweddingaisle.com my 5m Manilla veil for just 72 bucks. I thought quality wouldn’t be as good but I just received it last Tuesday and it looks amazing! If you’re under budget you can try the shorter veils which cost a lot less

@CandyO:  of course you wouldn’t suggest renting… You clearly work for myweddingaisle.com… Do they pay their trolls by the post?

Brides beware of bees who only have six posts and they all reference a cheap troll using website.
