Yes, I do find that layer to be very strange.  I do not care for anything about this dress, at least in this picture, and would imagine that it’d be very difficult for the majority of people to pull off.

I do actually think it’s a bit strange.  I think it would look much better without that frill around the hips.

I am really not a fan.  Maybe if there was more than just that one layer.  It leaves me wanting more.  I imagine it costs a pretty penny as well.

I love an out of the ordinary dress, and there is a lot about this one that I like…the netting on the shoulders is unique and pretty, the bodice is flattering, I like how the lace “drips” down the skirt.  As for the top layer, I’m torn.  I think I could like it, but I would have to see this from other angles, and preferably on a “real” person.  You’d have to be very thin and tall to pull this off, in my opinion.  Have you tried it on?

@jessica_l:  I think it’s a unique dress.  Are you planning to wear the crinoline under?  It seems like it’s a “go big or go home” type of dress, so it needs the oomph.  Have you decided on a veil yet?

I don’t like it.  I think it looks like an 80’s prom dress.
