@pandaboo: I’m freaking out too! I thought I was going to print and cut the invitations myself, but I think it’s just going to be a huge headache. I only have 9 more days to work on them because I’m going out of town for Christmas. I’ll be back at the very end of the month, and then the invites go out January 3rd. So I’m pretty stressed over here!
Luckily FH was in town this weekend and we were able to knock out some things on the to do list. There’s still a lot left, but less than before. YAY!
I need to:
-outline the ceremony with the officiant – hopefully this week because he’s in town
-start my fitting at the beginning of January
-Buy a veil
-Print, cut, assemble invites
-Print programs – They’re almost done, just need to fill in the ceremony part
-Pick out all reception music – I’ve been working on this forever! 🙁
-Favors – buy all the stuff for them. We’re doing hot chocolate favors
-Shower dress – My shower is at the end of Januar and I haven’t found anything yet.
I guess those are the big things. So much to do!

I can’t believe we’re only three months away!
The biggest thing I have left to do is put together my centerpieces. I’m making coffee filter flowers, and only have four centerpieces done (need 8 more, 2 dozen flowers in each one).
Oh, and I also decided last weekend that I was going to knit shawls for my BMs to wear during photos etc. WTH was I thinking? Actually, I know what I was thinking: this is a good way to put off making the centerpieces 😉 Good news is the shawls are super easy to make, but they do take time.
Fortunately, the rest of the stuff on my to do list is pretty minor, so I should have enough time to finish the big things.

Eeep! Yesterday while I was waitressing someone asked me when we were getting married…I was like ‘oh goll, 3 months!’ Haha. We’re chugging right along on our list of things to do, but this week I’m looking to:
-figure out who I might have do my hair
-make those embellished wine glasses as gifts for our BMs (I made some for Christmas gifts and I love them!)
-address the stack of invitations (meh!)
-figure out our ceremony order/wording/selections and music selections
-try to get a hold of the new ($175) coordinator our church just tired *boooo* and see if (a) we are required to use her and (b) what she can even do for us since we’re not using the church’s pastor either (can you tell I’m not excited for this new development and the hit to our budget?!)
-harass the postal service to see when I can buy the new $.32 post card stamps
I think that’s all for this week, but I’m sure I’ll find plenty more. Like you said, knock one off the list, two more pop up!
We can do it!!

Three months! Whoo! That’s not even a school semester! That’s not even a whole season of a TV show!
Here’s our what-to-do-next list:
– Give a flash drive full of music to our DJ so he’ll know what kind of sound we like.
– Make the last bridesmaid’s bouquet, the bride’s bouquet, and the boutonnieres out of paper.
– Order supplies to make the ceremony backdrop and matching fauxtobooth backdrop.
– Choose and purchase jewelry.
– Find and purchase shoes for the groom.
– Arrange for reception rental items (plates, linens, et cetera).
– Chase down those last two or three addresses, then stamp and mail the invitations.
– Get good at a waltz.
– Construct our centerpieces.
– Mail our final payments to the DJ, photographer, and reception venue.
– Choose a place or person to do the bride’s hair and makeup.
We deliberately got a lot of things done early, so we’re not feeling the crunch yet. However, in these last few months I’m sure it’ll kick in.

@sarasouth: Bah, you reminded me, I need to figure out flowers!

I had no problem last night when I looked at this thread, but this morning, just clicking on the title filled me with this huge sense of dread and nervousness that I haven’t felt since college when I had to rush to get a semester’s worth of papers written in the last few weeks before the end of the term (due to procrastination and laziness). Even though we’re clearly pretty far ahead and don’t have much left to do, I’m suddenly nervous as all hell.

ahh nice to see other bees freaking out as much as me =p lol jk!!! I was stressing out like a crazy person this past weekend.. but today I’ve decided whatever happens happens lol we have the big things figured out so hopefully everything else will fall into place.. as long as I get married that’s all that matters…
p.s. I’m not sure how long this mindset will last lol but i’m enjoying it while it does.. 😀
