Grrr I just called the store I bought my rocking chair from. It was supposed to be in at the end of last week, still haven’t heard anything. Today she tells me it hasn’t even been shipped yet, the manufacturer is having some kind of delay but she’s not sure what, and when it does get shipped it takes about 5 business days to get here. I told her that the manufacturer better figure something out fast and if it wasn’t shipped in the next two days they should start talking about upgrading my shipping because I’m 37 weeks pregnant and ordered this chair in mid-December. We’re not talking about a real bargain of a chair either, it’s expensive! Don’t piss off the pregnant lady!!! So anyways, they’re going to call the manufacturer to follow up, I hope she calls me back with good news. I want my darn chair!!!

@babybuzz:  hmmmm that is one problem I haven’t had. Hope it is short-lived.

@PrncssDva:  did they give you an idea of how big she is?

I am getting my second iron infusion as we speak. Then later I have my first of my weekly visits with OB. Curious to know what he says and if he’ll do another cervical check after the false labor scare. He will do the GBS and I’ll get a pertussis vaccine.

@babybuzz:  My guess is it’s your bra. I’m starting to get major red welts in the same spot from my underwire. No sores yet, but I could see it happening soon.

If it is indeed the rubbing (and this advice is from my many years as a marathon runner where I get those kinds of sores from my running bra all the time) you have a few options (1) a band-aid to cover the spot, (2) vaseline (which will help with the friction, but can get messy) and (3) if you have access to a running store you can get some Body Glide – this is a specialty substance that helps with friction without actually being messy.

@PrncssDva:  Woohoo! How exciting!

@babybuzz:  I can’t say I’ve had that issue, but at times the underwire of my bra digs in very uncomfortably. I think it’s all dependent on how my baby is positioned. I agree with iRun2004 that vaseline or a bandaid could possibly help.

So is anyone growing out of their maternity clothes? I’m kind of embarassed to admit that I am. I’m finding that my belly pushes down the belly panel on my maternity pants, and my tops don’t cover it completely. I have to wear an extra belly band for support and to keep it covered up. I am so ready to be done with maternity clothes and be back in my normal clothes.

@babybuzz:  Probably your bra. I haev the same thing going on.It’s from where your belly kind of pushes up against your chest area now, where it didn’t before.

@FutureMrsAch:  My belly is now kind of growing out of my maternity tank lol. I told HUbby the other day that it keeps peeking out and I can feel the wind blowing on my belly under there.
