@hoogirl05:  Happy 7 weeks! I have had twinges of that pain too, is it right near your hip bones?  I also assumed it was round ligament pain.

@bananasareyellow:  Lucky you with no nausea!  Although indigestion is a bummer. I’m still tired, hungry, and having nausea on and off but nothing major thankfully.  Yesterday I felt like I looked pregnant, obviously it’s just bloat but it made me wonder if I will be an early show-er. I’m only 5 feet tall, there’s not much room in there!

We are touring the only local birth center today after work. I’m really excited!

Hope you all had a good weekend!

I’ve been missing on this board for awhile now. Last week we had a miscarriage- I haven’t told anyone other than my husband. It’s the worst feeling in the world knowing your loosing something that you wanted so badly, and you have no control over it. My bleeding started last weekend when we were camping, it was very light and went away after the second day. Then I woke up last Tuesday morning with cramps and something just told me to call the doctor. I talked to my doctor and he said it was nothing to worry about and it sounded very normal. About an hour later I started bleeding more heavily and I called the doctor back. I ended up in the emergency room because I couldn’t get a doctors appointment. I spent 2.5hours in emergency with the worst cramps I’ve ever had and hot/cold flashes.

The doctor did an internal exam and said my cervix was still closed and the pregnancy test was still positive. Things could go either way at this point he said. When I finally got home the cramps were worse and I started passing blood clots and then I passed the yolk sac. I knew then that I was having a miscarriage. Every pregnancy syptom I’d been feeling just went away, it was strange. I’m still bleeding a little bit today and it’s almost been a week. I also went for an ultrasound and had blood tests done to confirm the miscarriage.

Miscarriage is a very confusing process and it makes you feel helpless and uneasy not knowing what’s going on with your body. I’m finding strength in knowing that my body did what it was suppose to do and that the embryo didn’t form properly.

I wish all of you ladies the very best with your pregnancies and I’m sending very sticky baby dust to each of you!! I’m looking forward to hearing all of the happy stories in March when the babies come!!

@rustic0820:  I am so incredibly sorry to hear that 🙁 I hope that you are recovering and please know that we are here if you ever need to chat. I appreciate that you were able to share here, and I think it’s incredibly brave of you. I think it’s really admirable that you are able to find strength in knowing that your body did what it needed to (that must have been an incredibly difficult process and mindset to reach, having gone through what you did). I’m wishing you all the very best and hope that you are on a future board soon. *hugs*

    Hi all,

I’m a long time lurker and just wanted to officially introduce myself.

A little background: I had a BFP last month, but it ended in an early loss around 6 weeks.  I called the OB office at that time and they said to just treat it like a period and keep on trying.

Fast forward to this month.  We BD’ed at good times and I got a BFP again on Friday 7/19.  I called the OB office again and I just finished at my appointment today. At the appointment, they sent off a beta hcg and progesterone level.  They also did a transvaginal US (only showed a thickened endometrium which is expected at 4w3d)

Since I was due for my annual, the OB also did a pap smear and full vaginal exam. She says its safe, but I’m just scared about any and every little thing that may affect this pregnancy.  Have any of you other bees had a pap while pregnant (either because you were due for one, or high risk, or for other reasons)?

My next question is how long it took your beta hcg’s to come back?  Would it be too early to call tomorrow afternoon for the progesterone and beta level that was drawn today?  I’m getting serial hcg’s this week.  Praying for strong doubling #s!

Thanks for all the advice and info and FX that I can continue to go through the next +/- 9 months with you all =)

@bananasareyellow:  My mom also said she didn’t have bad nausea, and I haven’t had any so far — 6w1d today, so still pretty early on. FX it stays this way!

@Jaynee:  I’m having small twinges of pain too, not necessarily around the hip bones, more like very slight period cramps. Hoping/assuming it’s just things stretching out… Enjoy the birth center tour, let us know how it goes!

@rustic0820:  Very sorry to hear about your loss. I know nothing we say right now can help, but you are in my thoughts.

@maglove:  My HCG tests came back within a day or two–but my doc was good about alerting me as soon as they were in, hopefully yours will do the same. Congratulations on your BFP. I also had a u/s at 4w and just showed a thickened lining, so I have a follow up u/s tomorrow (at 6w2d) to see how things are progressing. That’s great that your doc is being so proactive in monitoring your pregnancy this time around.

@rustic0820:  I am so very sorry for your loss.  When I experienced my loss last month I was completely devastated. But it does get better, and things do come back into place.  If you ever need to vent/talk/anything please don’t hesitate.  FX that you will have another BFP very soon.

@bananasareyellow:  My EDD is 3/28/14! Thank you for the re-assurance about the pap.  I just hate that there are so many tests (waiting for the results are so hard)

@hippomama:  Thank you! I’m so happy the OB is being proactive. The re-assurance is always nice.  I’m having another US at 5w3d, so hopefully there will be a sac!  Good luck at your follow-up US! Please let us know how it goes.

@rustic0820:  Im so sorry to hear your sad news! I hope you recover quickly and go on to have a happy and healthy stick baby x

Im 6w3d today. Im so exhausted! Im literally yawning as I am getting out of bed on some days! Also starting to feel a little queezy while im trying to eat. All for a good cause. Looking forward to my appt with the High Risk specialists on Thursday and hopefully getting an u/s shortly! We told our parents this weekend. It went so well but everyone was not as surpirsed as I was expecting. Apparently we kept them waiting….we’ve only been married for 3months!

In another news the future King has been born! exciting stuff!

@bananasareyellow:  I’m at almost 5 weeks today, no major issues other than slightly sore boobs! I never had morning sickness with DS, so hopefully I’ll avoid it this time as well. I’m also a couple weeks behind most of the other Bees, so maybe my symptoms have yet to kick in?

Happy Monday to all the mamas- any bad symptoms are so worth it in the end!!
