@frostedforks:  thank you! He’s honestly been the bright light throughout this year but I haven’t been able to be the parent I wanted to be. Before covid we were out most days seeing friends and doing activities. I’m just glad he’s young enough not to realise his world has shrunk to the house and the playground! Our area has been hit quite hard so he’s been out of nursery since last March, but he’s going back 2 mornings a week soon which will give us both a break! Ideally he’d go back more days but we can’t afford it right now. Damn covid!!

I think we’re going to be offered our vaccines by June so I didn’t know whether to hold off ttc, but I think my ideal scenario would be having the vaccine while breastfeeding so I could give milk and antibodies to both kiddos. I guess we’ll just see what happens!

Has anyone had the covid vaccine yet?

@marriedbliss:  I have actually. My first dose was mid Feb and then I get my second next week. I let the healthcare provider know I’m TTC and they were so validating and encouraging. Answered all my questions. Reassured me about my research and my decision to get the vaccine. I read quite a few resources prior to my first shot – ACOG, CDC, WHO. And had some chats on these discussion boards. I hope the second goes well!

@marriedbliss:  I’m getting my first dose tomorrow as my autoimmune diseases make me high risk. I don’t think it’s worth waiting as you dont know how long it will take to get pregnant. I also suspect we will eventually need booster doses so I’m just rolling with it. Knowing I’m getting the vaccine soon has given me a bit of our lives back. I can finally get my hair cut again and not have a panic attack when my doctor calls and tells me someone caught covid from their office.

Furthermore, an mRNA vaccine can not cross the placenta as there’s literally nothing to cross. So there’s no reason to e worried about it from that standpoint. (I’m a biologist who literally has published research working with RNA.)

@lovemygsp:  That’s awesome, hope it goes OK! I also have an autoimmune condition so my worry having a new vaccine is if it flares up my immune system while pregnant. I’m in the UK so likely I’ll be offered AZ. Very happy to take it after I’m pregnant though, and I did have flu and whooping cough vaccines while previously pregnant. I’m just waiting for more data on how the covid vaccine affects people with autoimmune conditions as they were excluded from trials. I have fingers crossed for herd immunity and summer which should keep cases low, then I’ll be extra careful in the winter.

@SweetCaroline89:  I’m sorry about AF😞…It gets harder and harder every month (as you know I’m in a similar boat). I hope you are able to do something fun to take your mind off of it.

I think I should be able to get the vaccine later this month/ early April, so the logical side of me wants to postpone ttc till I’m fully vaccinated. But… I just can’t stop trying! It’s CD 29 over here and I finally have an almost-positive OPK. Hoping it will be truly positive later today or tomorrow which will mean I ovulated a week earlier than last cycle. That would be progress! I probably still have luteal issues tho.

Congratulations to the positives this month and sorry about the rollovers.  Best of luck to everyone still waiting this month!

I am, unfortunately out for this month.  Please add me to the rollovers for next month.  Really hoping I ovulate before cd 25 this cycle … hopefully that was due to the chemical pregnancy last month and not due to ongoing issues from just having weaned my toddler.  Oh well!

How’s everyone doing? I’m at cd20 and feeling some small cramps, just like I did during the cycle I fell pregnant! And, according to the app I just checked, just like every cycle I’ve ever tracked! Lol
