@Frog E.: haha, my friend had me send her invite to her parents house in Buffalo, she emailed me to say that her parents got it and would send it back! So while she is travelling the farthest, her invitation did not win that one. We did send an invite to Israel actually (for people who will not attend).
5 more cards back, 7 yes’s and 2 nos. We’ve officially gotten back over half the response cards in less than 2 weeks now – woohoo!

So today was my final RSVP date…aaaaand
I got 4 more cards in the mail for 10 more yes, and 3 more no.
Except I’m still waiting for 18 more cards! My friend thinks that I’m going to get a bunch in the mail on Friday–she’s probably right!
So far the number look like this:
cards in/out: 79/97
waiting for: 51
Though, I will say, of some of the people who haven’t responded, some of them are coming for sure (some of the offenders include the groom’s dad and brother!). I’m estimating that we’ll have at LEAST 142 (at one point I was afraid we weren’t going to hit 100, and that we were going to look like losers–phew!), and possibly more, since a lot of these last minute cards are actually yes, which I wasn’t expecting!
My sweet spot is 135-150, so hopefully we’ll hit it! I’ll start making Future Mother-In-Law call extended family next week, and I’ll start next week, too!

Aw, I’m sorry I’ve abandoned this thread, things are getting crazy with just a week-ish left! I’m so glad to see that y’all are tracking down the stragglers for the most part and getting some solid #s down!
And we’re getting cards and boxed gifts in the mail all the time now! I was bummed when RSVPs were done, because I liked getting all that mail, but now it’s like Christmas when the mail man comes 🙂

Finally got our last RSVPs!!! So in the end (after adding a few people late, having 2 un-rsvp, and 3 people add their own guests), we ended up at 104 accept, 16 decline, 120 total invited (started at 115). 87% acceptance rate. I’m so happy that’s over. Did everyone get their final numbers by now?

@redhead46: our deadline is this Saturday, but already starting on the seating chart – we are at:
23 declines, 118 accepted, waiting for 31 more people to respond. I would say that most of the 31 we know whether or not they are coming, but we’ll still have to chase people up.

We ALMOST have everyone now. Waiting on fiance’s coworker and spouse, one of my cousins (unlikely since he had a baby a month ago), one of fiance’s cousin (having major back surgery, so unlikely), and a cousin and uncle from Taiwan (highly likely).
It’s frustrating, since I won’t hear back from most of the people above until after March 15th!! Aaargh. Oh well.
Assuming nobody comes except the family in Taiwan, our final numbers will be:
148 out of 220, which is a 67% acceptance rate. Not bad considering most people are travelling from at least 2 hours away! And (just barely) between the zone I was aiming for (135-150), which works great for me!!
25 (almost 24) days left for me!!! Aaahhh!!
Next up is the seating chart…which will actually probably be an even bigger pain (yay for divorced families, and siblings that hate each other!). Le sigh.
