So our venue lets us bring in our own liquor. We just have to buy a liquor license and pay for a bartender. Well we are doing that we were planning on having 3 main drinks and beer and wine.
One of the mixed drink is going to be cranberry & Vodka. The other i wanted margaritas.. since alot of people like them. I was thinking instead of having the bartender only make drinks “on the rocks” i was going to rent a Margarita machine. I have seen them online for rent in my area $150. Is that a good price? or should all drinks just be on the rocks?

My sister had a margarita machine at her wedding, but most people just went for the regular drinks at the bar.

If you like margaritas, too, then go for it! If you think you’ll get good use of it afterwards if it isn’t a hit at the wedding, then it won’t go to waste. Plus, maybe someone could buy it for you at your wedding shower and then you could use it at the actual wedding! That way, you won’t even have to spend a dime!! 🙂

I would be all over the margaritas! I rented a machine for a housewarming party one time, so the price you said seems about right.
I would consider who is on your invite list. If you have a lot of people who would be interested in it, then go for it!

My cousin had a magarita machine at her wedding, and we actually had to refill it after the ceremony! (her wedding was in a backyard in Vegas *HOT*) It was the best thing ever!!!!! All of her friends and our family loved it. I think if your group of people would be into it, then it would be perfect. We are having one at our wedding too 🙂

I would definitely prefer the machine. I don’t like any drinks “on the rocks” and I know many people who are the same.
That is a great price. If at all possible, rent a second machine so that any non-drinkers (both adults and kids) are able to enjoy the frozen drinks too and not feel left out.

We are doing Margaritas on the rocks at our reception, but that is how we usually drink them 🙂 I would be all about frozen margaritas though!

That’s a great price, and I’d totally go for it if I were you! Margaritas are my favorite drink, and I won’t drink them on the rocks – it’s frozen or nothing! 🙂

If you are a fan of margaritas (I agree with johndanna),register for a machine (I know BB&B and Target have them) to not only use at your wedding, but to have for your home afterwards. My BIL received one off his registry and they use it all of the time whether it is just them or if they are grilling out with friends etc. It was their favorite registry gift.
