I’m marrying a Marine! π He recently got an Honorable discharge after 9 years of active duty and 3 tours. He’s going to wear his blues for the ceremony… I can’t wait – as it will probably the last time we see him in them again. He makes me proud. π [attachment=1413571,179588]
I’m a Marine wife to be. π He will be wearing his blues, of course…..what else?!?!??! π He’s in Lejeune now and we plan on getting married in 2012. π I can’t wait! I’m planning on dark blue and white with some pale yellow for the wedding. I want it to be classy yet simple. π
Hey just a quick bit of advice for the brides who haven’t seen their marine in uniform. Mine is in the Marine Corp band so he has to wear his dress blues a lot. Even though he wears them so much it still takes for EVER for him to get the uniform ready! I mean sometimes 2 hours or so. So on the wedding day if he says he can’t do something because he has to get his unifrom ready… believe him!!! It has taken me forever to get use to my FH getting ready for work!!! At least I know he can iron!!!
I’m marrying a Marine.. he’s out and a police officer now but he served 9 years…. Does that count? π
Anyone getting him to wear Alphas (not Bravos). I really want him to wear Alphas, but it means he has to switch the ribbon rack for outdoor photos, and he says it won’t be worth it. (He also says if it means that much to me, he will wear alphas for the ceremony only.)
Thoughts?
I’m married to a Marine. And because I am, our wedding had to be cancelled because he suddenly had to deploy more than a month earlier than expected π
But we’re already married and I wouldn’t change the fact that I married the military for anything!
Marine bride as well π fiancees still got 3 years in >_<
Aww cute post. I’m a marine bride as well. He won’t be wearing his dress blues but you all are right….they do look HOT in them!
June, 11, 2011 San Francisco wedding
I will be marrying a Marine in 22 days. He will be in his Dress Blues for the ceremony and will change into his Filipino outfit, a barong for our banquet (reception) when I chnage into my Chinese outfit. He will then change into a suit or back into Dress Blues when I change back into my wedding dress for the rest of the evening for dancing. Unfortunately we will not have an arch ceremony since none of his friends are around. May have to see if we can get some volunteers for it. Thanks for the suggestion. The only other Military incorporated in our wedding is our personalize cake topper, a found a lady who specializes in military cake toppers. The groom will be in his dress blues (ribbons matching FH) and the bride with my matching bouquet color theme. The hair and skin tone is a match to your own skin tone. One of my bridesmaids is making my garter and incorporating the Marines Color and the emblem.
