As some of you may have tracked, our original wedding plans before covid was a 10 person wedding abroad in France, but that couldn’t happen. Instead, my husband and I eloped on our date and said our vows as just the two of us. The wedding planning company for France got back to me and felt bad and is giving us half of what we paid for. This was a surprise since, according to our contract, anything that was paid on the deadlines was non-refundable, and we paid our last deposit about 2 weeks before the pandemic. They also previously told us that we could postpone, but if we cancelled, we couldn’t get our money back. Now we are trying to figure out if and how we want to celebrate with our family safely. They have expressed major interest in wanting to celebrate with us in some fashion and have photos taken. My husband and I don’t want to say our vows again, but we want to do something special still. Any thoughts or ideas?
